Site inspections

Site inspection records link directly to a project and capture what was inspected, by whom and what was found. They form part of the project audit trail.

Recording a site inspection

  1. 1Open the project and go to the Inspections tab.
  2. 2Click + New inspection.
  3. 3Set the inspection date, the stage of work inspected, and who carried out the inspection.
  4. 4Write a summary of what was inspected and the general condition found.
  5. 5Click Create.

Snagging against a checklist

Inspections can include a snagging checklist — a set of items to check off as you go around the site. Each snag item can be marked Pass, Fail or N/A, and you can attach a photo to any item.

  1. 1Within the inspection record, click Add snagging checklist.
  2. 2Choose an existing checklist template, or create items from scratch.
  3. 3Work through each item, marking Pass, Fail or N/A.
  4. 4For any Fail item, add a note and optionally raise it as a formal issue using Raise issue.

Inspection reports

Once complete, click Export report to download a PDF inspection report. The report includes the inspection summary, snagging results and any photos attached — formatted for sharing with the client or contractor.

TipThe inspection record is automatically added to the project audit trail when saved — you don't need to manually log it.
