Issues, Inspections & CDM
Raising issues
Issues are defects, non-conformances or items requiring action found during site visits or design reviews. Each issue is numbered, assigned and tracked through to resolution.
Raising an issue
- 1Open a project and go to the Issues tab.
- 2Click + New issue.
- 3Write a clear description of the issue.
- 4Set the severity: Low, Medium, High or Critical.
- 5Assign it to the person responsible for resolving it.
- 6Attach a photo if relevant (from a site visit, for example).
- 7Click Create.
Severity levels
- Low
- Minor non-conformance or observation — no immediate risk, can be resolved at next inspection.
- Medium
- Defect or deviation requiring correction before the next stage of work proceeds.
- High
- Significant defect or deviation requiring prompt attention.
- Critical
- Safety-critical issue requiring immediate stop and escalation.
WarningCritical issues should be reported verbally to the contractor and client immediately — don't rely on the Haunch record as the primary notification.
Resolving an issue
- 1Open the issue.
- 2Review the resolution photos or notes provided by the assignee.
- 3If satisfied, click Mark as resolved.
- 4Add a resolution note if useful.
Resolved issues remain in the register with their full history. They are not deleted.
